Hi Collision fans, As you might have noticed we haven’t been posting a lot the last few months.

2018 has been a year for us with lots of ups-and-downs. That’s why we decided to make a post informing you of what has been going on with us and Code Orange Games in the last few months and what our plans are for 2019.

So first we will tell you what has happened this past year.

Arjan: I was not very active for Code Orange Games lately for personal reasons. At the end of last year my wife started to have serious health problems.
After many tests in hospitals, it turned out that the cancer, that supposedly was cured, had returned. And unfortunately, the cancer had spread, and could not be treated anymore.
Even though the news was terrible, we all felled blessed we were given time to marry, share our fond memories and say our goodbyes. Knowing she was loved by many, my wife passed away happy and grateful.
My wife made me promise, on several occasions, to move on and be happy. And with a broken heart I am determined to do so.

Working with Mattijs on Collision was a lot of fun and we want it to continue. I still have a lot of personal things to take care of. And I am very grateful for my family, friends and colleagues that support me. Time is a gift that I don’t take for granted anymore. So, I’m really looking forward to pick up Collision again soon.

Mattijs: as some of you might know, last year the day before Spiel I became a father. Sem arrived a few weeks to early and we had to miss most of the show (I managed to attend Sunday and Arjan the weekend). Luckily Sem is a healthy, happy and beautiful baby boy. It is taking some time learning to combine parenthood, work and Code Orange Games, but luckily I am getting more and more used to it.

But what are your plans for the future you might ask!

We have been meeting again the last few weeks and are slowly starting on new plans and projects. We want to release awesome new gangs for Collision. We are also planning to make a printed version of the rules in the form of a nice rule book. Many of you asked us about fluff, so we will be adding some short stories in the book and there might even be a short comic about Collision in there as well!

We are also generating ideas for a cool board/card game lately that we hope to kickstart in the future. This will be a game in a completely different setting than Collision but we have no doubt you are going to love it.

So as you see it has been a crazy year for us, but we will be back in 2019 with some awesome stuff!

Have a great day,

Arjan en Mattijs
